Yeronga - Brisbane

Location 5 km south of the Brisbane CBD.
Features Brisbane River frontage, proximity to CBD.
Commentary Due to its proximity to the Brisbane CBD and its position alongside the Brisbane River, Yeronga has experienced very strong capital growth in the past five years. It was one of the last riverside suburbs to receive a makeover, catching up with similar suburbs in terms of property prices. Popular with families and city professionals, Yeronga is within easy reach of major arterial roads, schools, shops and other infrastructure.

Princess Alexandra Hospital is about five minutes away and there are two primary schools and one high school in the area. Yeronga is also close to the University of Queensland via ferry access across the Brisbane River. Major shopping facilities are located at Fairfield Garden Shopping Centre and street shopping is also available at Yeronga. There are plenty of parklands and bikeways with access to the river at the Yeronga rowing club while nearby West End offers restaurants and cafes. A train station is located in the suburb and plenty of bus routes heading to the university and the city are available.

The ratio of houses to units is about 60% to 40% and there is no commercial development in the area.
