Coorparoo - Brisbane

Location 4 km from CBD.
Features Proximity to Brisbane City, Stones Corner outlet shopping precinct, Coorparoo and Buranda rail stations.
Commentary Coorparoo, with its easy access to the city along either the Southeast Freeway or the Story Bridge, continues to benefit from consumer demand for near-city living. There has been a strong rise in the number of units in the area and a small part of Coorparoo is designated semi-industrial and commercial. However, this is a defined and isolated area not impinging on the residential zones of the suburb.

A local train station is only a few stops from the CBD and there is an extensive Brisbane City Council bus service. The suburb has a high proportion of medium density unit complexes and a strong rental market. Million dollar house sales have occurred in recent years around the elevated parts of the suburb. Educational facilities include private and State schools while Coorparoo's shopping district features a refurbished Coles Supermarket. There are extensive small businesses, banks and retail outlets that serve the local area and surrounding suburbs. Retail fashion outlets are nearby at Stones Corner.
